The day I was lured to a social gathering by my mother's friends, I had a fight with my husband. Taking advantage of the situation, I ran away from home and ended up going to the gathering. I lied to my husband, saying I was "going back to my hometown," but that was quickly discovered to be a lie… At the time, I never imagined it would come to that.
